One Question...WHY?
One Question...WHY?
I dunno.... maybe 'cause he is involved with search and rescue work and feels the added visibility is important... maybe he just likes the the look of 'em........maybe just for sh*ts and giggles... :confused3

I vote for sh*ts and giggles. Must be something with those Bombs. I remember seeing one at a derby with lights like KIT from Knight Rider. To each their own.......

Go over to HL, there is a HUGE thread of people with the strobes, some have even used Blue Red & White like a cop car. Makes no sense to me at all, I would think being inconspicuous would be better! :hiding:

To have a quote like the above to come up, you have to have the correct tags before and after the text you want to show. use [ ] brackets, not the ones I am going to use in this example {quote=anybody} place their text here {/quote} If you use the correct [ ] brackets then it would show as follows:
place their text here

It is different to be sure, but I'm betting it would be a welcome sight to someone stranded, cold, hurt and hungry.

As a rule I like to be quiet and putter around un noticed looking at wildlife or whatever and therefore wouldn't like it on my quad.
As for ground S.A.R here's my opinion. If the person lost is unconscious it's obviously of no use. If the person lost is conscious and alert he may spot you easier and yell or come towards you for help, BUT, if he is in a panic or denial mode he may run and, or hide from you.
I havn't experienced neither of these on the three S.A.R's that I was called on. I only remember this from the ground S.A.R training I took. On two calls the search of the person lost was successfull before I arrived and the third I participated in for two days unsuccessfully.
