:floor_jack: Ok heres the problem, the last couple of snow falls I used the Grizz with the plow only to have the winch quit after a while. Seems it gets warm and stops reeling in but will reel out. Once everthing cools down ie solenoid and winch, it works again. This winch burned out the in on the control switch after the Dec snowstorm, it was replaced with a new one. Is there somthing wrong with the winch or the solenoid or is this some kind of safety feature? I would like to know for sure before the warrenty on the winch expires or before I get stuck and it doesn't work.

I agree with Vinnie, sounds like contactor. Take a multimeter and do a few voltage tests at the contactor (blue and yellow terminals of course). That should tell you for sure.

It has the 4 post. When I checked with the test light it appeared to be the contactor. Warrenty is a nightmare, Warn says one year WSL says 6 months. Warn has no authorized warrenty service center in MB and I have no bill for the winch it was part of the sale wih included the plow. I guess Ill have to go back and fight with the dealer again.

It's your contactor, 4 post or not. Small wire breaks inside contactor and looses contact when it expands (gets hot). Dealers don't like to do Warn warranty. There is no allowance for shipping costs. Winches are heavy and it becomes costly, and even though this problem is not in the winch, the dealers seem to have a mindset now when it comes to any warranty claims with Warn.
