Now this is an outboard!

Yamaha recently released the all-new F350 four-stroke outboard at this year's Miami Boat Show. In so doing, two world firsts were achieved. First, the F350 is the only production outboard to mount a V8 engine. Secondly, the engine boasts the highest power output at 350 HP.
Preliminary testing has shown that speed and acceleration are boosted thanks to the massive power and torque generated by the sheer size of the engine. In fact, when compared to the F250, The F350 generated 45% more thrust. Durability and reliability are outstanding while the running characteristics are both smooth and comfortable. Aesthetically, the F350 sports a clean, streamlined look with redesigned cowl and bold new graphics that will become the face of all future outboards.
Yamaha continues to develop products that are sensitive to the needs of the environment. On the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) stringent regulations ranking system, the F350’s 3-star rating ensures that big horsepower can also mean cleaner emissions.

Recent trends have shown an increase in outboard use among offshore vessels in excess of nine metres. Traditionally the domain of inboard or inboard/outboard hybrids, the switch to outboards has occurred due to excellent speed performance, fuel economy, ease of mounting and maintenance. There is also an increase in usable onboard space for crew when an outboard is employed.
The F350 now widens the large water outboard market, potentially even offering an alternative to twin 200’s. For coastal fishing, there is no bigger or more powerful engine with which to spend countless hours on the water.
