The snowmobile trail system in southeastern Manitoba has been closed, effective immediately. Harold Kihn is president of the Southeast Snoriders. He says conditions have deteriorated due to the mild weather. Kihn adds people are still able to ride at their own risk but there is no liablity coverage if you have an accident. Kihn says this was not one of the better seasons due to a lack of snow.

Trails up here might as well be closed, left at 7 am this morning was going to try to make Hudson Bay,Sk in one day. Got as far as Rossburn and I could smell the smell of my sliders burning, trails melted and froze so may times they were as hard as rock. Only track I was leaving was 2 runner marks on the ice so had to abandon trip. On the plus side rode home thru south park area and snow was a lot better.
