i don't know if this has been talked about yet. i just think that it is unfair for cammo and a few others that are pulling the lions share of the financial burdon. the atv show costed 2G's and the site also costs money.i wonder what ideas you have to raise money.:D

Ramco started a donation thing about a month and a half ago. I think it has worked out really well for Camoman. We all need to shoulder the responsability for up-keep of this website.
Notice Paypal on the welcome page. If you want to donate. There is always the drop-a-check off too Ramco or maybe one of the moderators if you feel more comfortable with that.

1) on line gambling ?? ( naw - gov't would want to much of a cut )
2) Poker Derby - with the amount of members we have this might generate some funds on an annual basis

My suggestion is a location not to far away where we would get the most attendance - thats where the bucks are !
Lets see what the other members at large say and take it from there......
It would be fun ( or mabe a challenge ) to put some different wrinkles into the derby such as time trials, ability to follow a designated route etc.....
for what its worth........

Great idea Blob (Barkerlakebob)!
It will be a bit of organizing but would pay off big time. We just need someone to look into it and run with the ball.
Here are some suggestions on how to get things going:
Pick an area and then look into:-
Land issues; where the trails would be, possible land owner conflicts, etc.
Insurance - if required, personal waivers if needed.
Routes, signs, plan mud holes and bypasses.
Canteen stops along routes.
Last but not least, people to clear the routes.
Allot of work, and I would personally love to help but I couldn't organize.
Anyway there is my input for what it's worth. Quadzilla and EFI Mark could offer more and better advice than I can.
Let us know what you would like to do.
I think it's an absolutely fantastic idea, we just need someone to getting the ball rolling.

It would appear the support level at this time is lukewarm. It may be the season or maybe everyone just needs a bit of a break. My suggestion is to leave this item cook until about Feb. or March .....then take another run at it. If the support seems to be there at that time ......... we will be able to organize a sH _ t kicker of a derby, have some fun and get the green the site folks need to keep trackshare up and running.....!!
Anyone out there with experience at these things ??.......

Its a lot of work for $1500 bucks and the liability isn't worth it. I'd rather take a $100 bucks out of my pocket and donate it to Trackshare. Wear and tear on my bike would cost more than that.
Sorry to be negative but the derbys aren't worth the money!
:wtf:

That is something I had not thought of - but then again I have absolutely no experience with Poker Derbies other than riding in them.
Thanks for the second opinion...they do matter.
I, as many others do the donations. What I would be concerned about is that its usually to late to do anything about it before the site has to go down ......the heavy lifting is left up to a few individuals and the rest just sit by and "ride for nothing".
A little from a lot would would be much better that a lot from a few.
for what its worth......

I agree,
A little from a lot would would be much better that a lot from a few.
Maybe we could sell the rest of the T-shirts, I'm sure that would help. I knoe they are selling for pretty much what they cost so not much revenue but Curtis did have to pay for them up front for us and with out taking orders he bought around 50 or 60 shirts. That is a lot of dough he is out untill they sell so if you think you might want one don't wait.
Get them now and put that cash back in Curtis' pocket.

I just wanted too remind everyone that you can always donate through the the paypal link at the bottom of every page. And if your looking too pick up like a shirt too help raise money thats great too . And when plain and simply donating you are getting a great website that is your too use as well. You can wear with the www.trackshare.com name with pride knowing your part of it and it sucess just like you would wear a t-shirt. and if your like me 25 bucks towards the site gets me a whole lot more then my tshirt would. So simply said buy a piece of trackshare with your donation and while your at it pick up a t-shirt too.
Donate. Come on ! 25 bucks on a credit card through paypal is nothing for what we're getting out of this site. Good friends and good times !
