Glad to hear you are OK, gotta love those rides, one time I was following way behind a buddy of mine, and when I came over a small hill I piled into the snow bank coming off of the road. The sled stopped dead, and I carried on. All I seen was gravel road, the sky, then snow and sky again, then snow and that where I stopped stuck head first in the snow in the ditch on the other side of the road. LOL One sweet ride. Contrarry to what everone says, If I had been going faster I would have cleared the drift and landed on the road. But with my luck the truck that was coming would have been there to stop me. LOL Thats just one of many tales.

Its crazy how many times a guy can rack out and walk away, and others get hurt in simple ways (my wife broke her ankle in feb. slipped on ice while at work, grenaded it good)

Best of luck to ya, and remember SHINEY SIDE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! Amazing how fast something can come out and bite ya when riding! Nice that you have it on vid and that you and the sled walked away, now THAT's what I call a home movie that people wouldn't mind seeing.

Hey Warts isn't that the second time you racked out this year?

WOW! Glad you walked away, who cares about the sled that could have turned out a lot worse. Insane video man thanks...

yea the second time this year....alsmot the same thing.. except the first time was alot more severe.

this accident is only going to cost a reverse lever 50.00bucks i think.

thats all that broke. as far as me. i am fine now! was sore for a couple of days.

Whoa......................seems to me those front shocks are way tight. That
front looks like it just bounced up instantly. If this has happened more than
once, i'd definately soften the fronts.

Rode big dave's Apex a while back, and the front is light on that sled. Have to compensate by softening those up IMO. A wicked sled, that is forsure. Maybe that's just the way it is though, i haven't rode them enough to get a feel for what they do.

Just remeber Wartsnuff..................3rd time's a charm...:friday: :friday:

I backed off my front springs at least an inch I would say. That is the preload nuts on the front springs. It dropped the front end about 3/4 of an inch. Now the front A-arms sit absolutely flat. I like it this way much better. The suspension geometry on the Apex is the same as the 05 RX-1's so should have very similar results.

I found the sled tippy and not very well planted, now with all the adjustments I have made everythings works very well and it is set up perfectly for my 200lb girlish figure! LOL

I think the RTX Apex has a different rear skid and the Fox Floats but front end geometry is still the same. I followed the directions SRXsex gave me for his Apex and it works like a charm. All the info is avail. on www.totallyyamaha.com.

I think riding around here anyway is done for the year so you got all summer to rest up anyway Warts.

Ride hard... Ride fast... and Hammer Down!

Thanks again for the video, way to take one for the team. Nothing like real hardcore action!

Now thats what I call Reality TV!....:D

i was standing on the machine... prolly leaned back trying to get the front to get over the bump.. ended up putting in right into the hole

i have the front floats at about 65psi only.... not that hard. i did have them at 125 for a while.

i think unfortunatly looking at the video. i was not prepared for the second bang.. i was thinking phew made it thought the first set....

also if you watch the video it rebounds at a angle from strait forward. making recovery almost impossible in imho!

thanks for the well wishes!!

now i am servicing the bike tonight... the helmet cam should provide some great footage for that too...

cheers all

Was the machine still runnin when you tipped her back over? Looked like you got her rightside up pretty quick!

I love the old abandoned rail track trails. Was the what you were on at that time?

Glad to see all is OK!
