I started my grizz about a month ago just to let it run for 10min or so. I've been noticing for the past while that when starting sometimes when hitting the start button there would be nothing. Than it would start . Now just today I went to start it and nothing. The battery is good. No nothing no clicking or dimming headlights. Nothing. Is there a fuse or switch or something that goes? It's a 2003.

Sounds like the brushes are worn out in the starter, or a poor conection at the solonoid.

check wires, check fusible links, check ignition, make sure battery is charged and is holding at least 13 volts. I had similar problem with my polaris. Had nothin at all no lights no power nothin. Turned out to be the ECM!!!, hope this helps

Try wiggling the start button when you try to start it. I know on my Grizz I have to play with the start button sometimes.

Just an update.

Last night I held the start button and turned the kill switch on and off a couple of times and than it turned over. Now when I turn the key on I hear a click from around the area next to the battery where the fuses and some sort of component that has the power wire coming in than coming out with two fuses on it (solenoid???). I didn't notice this click before. Does this sound like something maybe on its way out that should be replaced or since it sat all winter with only being started once throughout that it could've been condensation or corrossion or something sticking.

That click is normal, you may of just not noticed it before. I believe it is the 4x4 relays clicking. There are two relays, one for 2wd/4wd and one for diff lock. I'm trying to remember but it seems to me that if you have it in 2wd, there should be no clicking.

You'll know if one of the relays quits because it either won't go into 4wd or diff lock or it won't come out. I replaced my relays about 3 months ago because one went. I ordered them from a place in the US called digikey, they cross referenced the relay number for me. Cost me about half of what Yamaha wanted, but $20 was still an insane amount for a .50 cent relay.

Hey JGver, just wanted to let you know, my 07 660 is the same machine,
and it clicks as well when the key is flipped on. Does it every time, so that must be normal.
