Alberta riding areas

Mooseman was wondering of some good sand areas to ride in Alberta. I am from Edmonton area, so I can only comment on this area.

1. Bruderheim, NE of Edmonton 1/2 hr apparently has tonnes of sand to play in.

2. Vega, 1/2 hr North of Barrhead (which is 1.5 hrs NW of Edmonton), has tons of trails that go in and out of the bush. There is a main power line that goes for miles, and has lots of bumps and jumps along the way. There is also places to bring a camper/trailer.

3. I have only heard that Brule has very good sand riding, however, I have no idea where it is.:sorry:

Have a chance to go to Canmore soon & can take my quad. Anybody know of trails out there?

When you swing through Calgary, try and stop in at a quad dealership, and ask where some good areas are. I know of McLean, but being from Edmonton, I couldn't tell you where to stage, or ride, as I've never been there. Hope that helps

:thnx: for the suggestion. I also thought of trying to contact the conservation office as well. Not sure if they will be in Calgary or Banff.
