I have a 400 Eiger, not big into mud bogging, more trail riding, but I like the looks of an aggressive tire, want to run 27x10x12 all round, what would be the best tire to run - too many people are running Mudlites(excellent tire but I like something different) I would like to run Kenda Executioners , understand they are a pretty heavy tire, if not them maybe Mud Bugs, any ideas?

Alot of people are running mudlites for good reason. They are aggressive, light, they ride nice and they aren't a fortune. If you are going to run an agressive tire, weight may be an important consideration. You might want to look at Mudlite XTRs. They are a radial tire and give a smooth ride.

Sounds like bear claws would fit the bill...27s available and lighter than almost all other mud tires i believe...

I would recomend some XTR's. Real good all round tire. Them bugs are pretty good though. I would run 26" bugs rather then the 27"s. Only because the 26" have a bigger lug and wider spaced.

MudBugs- yes I'm biased, love 'em for everything. A little rougher on the trail but....what trail is smooth ??? LOL

XTR's - great do-everything tire

Kenda Bear Claws - another great tire with a very knarly look to them.

Anything than stock tires will make a big improvement. I run the XTR radials and they are a great tire. Whatever you choose, give vinnie a call at Excel Auto for the best price!

or u can try the mudbug radial that comes in 26-9-12 and 26-11's. not sure on prices yet and not sure if u want to settle for a smaller tire. but u should get a smooth ride like the XTR and great performance, and unlike the other tires mentioned, nobody has them on here yet.

now I've got a question? If you run swamp and mud most of the time is the Bugs better than the mud lites? and what style of mud lite is better?

On a 400 I would go with 26" tires. Both Mudlites & MudBugs are good its personal perferance. The XTRS are a real good tire but heavier and more $. Just my opinion.
