Wondering if anyone has a real good seat(trunk). Theres one made by Kimpex looks good. Looking to put one on for the little guy to ride with me once in awhile. I ride a 700 KingQuad ,and I do want the seat to be comfortable. If it was for the wife I'd put a throw pillow on the rack but it's for the little man .

There are a lot of different options. Find one that suits your needs and budget. One suggestion I would make, is to get a set of the footrests, especially if a kid is going to be riding with you. Makes it much safer and more comfortable for them, plus it will save your fenders a few scratches.

Give Vinnie a call. He'll set you up.
Get in touch with vinnie for one of the Kimpex boxes. They are well made and very comfortable for a kid. He's got the best prices around and can get whatever you need including the footpegs...

If you are looking for something comfortable with good storage check this trunk out. I put one on my 800, very comfortable, with a large enough seat cushion. Vinnie had it in stock and at a very good price, check it out.

I got this one from Vinnie and love it. There a a few things that could be different to make it better but overall it's a great box/seat.PM me if you want more info.As stated above the footpegs make a huge difference. I was too cheap to buy them so I made my own, but then again I like to tinker with stuff like that.

Looks good Mike, I am dealing with vinnie right now for that exact trunk for my 400. I think it will work out great for what I need it for. :scooter:

don't mean to hijack the thread but, does anyone know of a site that shows a pic of footrests or can someone post a pic. I've never seen them + would like to know what they look like.

SSP I have the same trunk and love it, its very comfortable, and the hand grips give you something substantial to hold onto when the going gets rough. I agree about the need for foot rests, they came with my rear fender guards and the installation height (for differerent height passengers) can be adjusted, not easily though. If I wished for one improvement with this trunk/seat it would be a removavble cover for the back so that water and dirt could be kept out.
I got mine through Vinnie; best deal around.

Vinnie suggested some weather stipping to seal the rear or I was thinking silicone. For the amount of space available underneath a person can reach most things from the side so silicone might work. It is nice to have the option to open it though.

SSP..I did that mod and it was a great idea...I was thinking of a rubber flap that could be removed or strapped to cover the opening for the trunk...to keep it from filling with branches in the summer and snow in the winter if I'm not carring something. I am trying to find the right material and someone to sew it together. When not needed it could be stuffed in the side doors.

Eastwind, buying can be the easiest way to get what you want. If your at all handy with your hands, it's amazing what you can do with 2 bike pedals and the pedal arms off an old bike. Here's the set I made out of 2 bike pedal arms off an old mountain bike, some scrap metal and 2 old sockets for adjusting in different positions.

I'll take a picture of the cover I made for my trailbogan for winter behind my quad to prevent snow from getting in. I was thinking of using the same material with snaps for the box cover. I can only do it tomorow because I now have to go buy a new cell phone. I ran mine over with the snow plow today(AGAIN)

Slipperypete, eastwind: here are the pics of the footpegs I made.
Kenora: Here are the pics of the cover I made. I think we could use the same material for a box cover.
