To some of the fellow trike'ers out there ....
Just curious .... what does insurance run ya ??
I called MPI, for $200 Deduct for Collision, $200 Fire & Theft and $1 Mill 3rd Party ... and that "Injury & Benefits" package ... I was quoted for my 86 Tri-Z .... $449 annually.
According to some in the shoutbox, that seems a little high .... just curious what others are paying ...

SD MPI might consider that a sport bike there for being more to insure.

When I go to register it, I'll have to ask about it .... maybe take a pic down to show them ....
Definitly getting the "Benefits & Injury" coverage thingy !!
Thanks for the reply 3Wheeler, ... hopefully one of the tri-z' guys will reply too!

I only get the basic minimum (includes $200,000 TPL) If your trike were to be stolen or crashed, they might give you $250 or whatever the book value is...I think. And since most people that buy old trikes put on the bill of sale that they paid $100 for it, that decreases the book value of the trike for everyone.
From what I understand, that is how they get their numbers.
It costed me $52/ year for either trike (sport or utility) last time I registered.

The accident benifits which you had included with your quote cost over $ 100 per year alone. It's not a bad thing to have though.
