I was just wondering if anyone knows if you are allowed to shoot rimfire rifles in the floodway?

I know a few years back, before the "near urban wildlife management" or whatever its called zone was created, there were a couple spots along the floodway where you could discharge a centrefire rifle.

Only reason I ask is because the new job requires me to be on call 24/7, but I still want to do some plinking.... legally:D

..since I am on a similar schedule ( ) I know what you mean, but there are several nice spots I know not too far away to go shooting.. :humbs:

Thats what I thought but I also heard of an area around st.clements or st. andrews, I'll have to check with the CO's and RCMP. You'll have to enlighten me as to the wherabouts of those spots wolf. Looks like the two of us will be either fishin'n in the red or plinking with rimfires while waiting for that phone to ring!:friday:

I'm sure I saw that listed somewhere (that it is off limits) before but just went through the hunting regs and didn't find it ??

Either way I wouldn't take a chance because you can also have local RM restrictions apply. Simply ain't worth getting busted on something like that when we could drive to an area that is totally safe.

I was thinking that this was a club. Also it's a bit far considering I would have only 30 mins or so to get in if called, hence the reason for wanting to use the floodway.
