After reading the posts about Sedon's I was wondering where there might be other dunes with trail riding surrounding them. I too have experienced Sedon's and found it to be quite chaotic.

Not looking to single out the dirt bikers or any particular rider for that matter, just looking for less congestive alterantives that could be enjoyed during a trial ride.

Mars hills has some nice sand hills with a variety of trails. Also the pits right outside of Stead are really nice with a great mix of trails and nice hills, however no large bowl like in Seddons

There are quite a few pits off Garven Rd near the golf course straight through to Spring hill. Not many trails, but lots of sand and pits.

South of Southport / Portage la Praire is a good area, lots of sand, swamp and trails.

At Springhill are lots if you know how to get to them. Plus there is the mud at springhill where the trucks play. Don't park at the weigh scales unless you have big money to pay the tow. hard to get across the floodway with all the water. Where is home Bubba? Ther is also the big one that I love off fire road 13 at Richer. We ride there lots and not alot of people as it is off highway too far to drive.

Those are really nice pits, lots of variety. We started riding those pits 24 years ago..........god I'm dating myself. LOL But you have to be careful, they work those pits so they are always changing. nice hill one day could be a deadly drop off the next.

True dat, and while it may not be warm enough yet, if you decide to go for a dip to get the sand out of your butt, do not swim to the platform/thingie with a tower on it in the pit beside Miracle Ranch. As a mater of fact stay clear of all structures in the water as they have a klaxon style alarm that will make you def and will draw out the cops.
