i'm kinda wondering myself, from what i hear it has to be done if you are snorkling your machine, or if you go with aftermarket exhaust, but jetting alone not sure if you'd get full effect without the said mod's, but thats totally a guess??

Very simple to install, & well worth the cash. An after market exhaust & hi flow air filter will also help. The nice thing about the DynoJet kits is they are very tunable. It is also a good thing to realy clean your carb before you do the install.

If your just snorkling your cat its probably worth it however the jets that come in the kit are too small for a piped 500. I bought it just for the Dynojet needle as feedback was is the needle works good.
Anyway, if your just snorkling and need a little more jet then stock, I probably have a whack of them you can try. (I have all the jets that come in the kit)
If your piping, just buy individual jets. You'll need a pilot jet too.

Aside from changing the jets and needles, some guys were drilling the hole in the slide bigger claiming better throttle response. This is one mod I have not done yet but you may want to look into it.
I highly recommend the EPI clutch kit if you have a manual shift. Its $49.99 US plus you'll need a cover gasket.

I believe you can also get them through Highlifter and check with Vinnie as well. The part number should be posted in that post on Arctic Chat. You get 5 small purple springs and it should be $49.99 US.

Any Arctic Cat dealer should be able to order EPI clutch kits.
I just ordered individual EPI springs through Bullet Power in Ile des Chenes even though they sell Polaris he helped me out.
You could try Scott Rod's in Morris, they might be able to get them.
