Looks like a good location, better than the '04 because most mount GPS, cell phone holders, etc on the bars. So it makes more sense than where it is on the previous body style.

Good point, I think Polaris has thiers on the pod as well. Not Yamaha though, I always have to route mine around the bars etc so I don't pull it out.

Yeah, mine has it on the body roughly in front of where your right knee would be.
I was thinking about installing another one on the pod. But then I thought I should install RCA jacks instead.
I can wire my GPS for RCA connectors instead of a conventional cigarette lighter plug.
The reason I'm thinking RCA jacks is because I also need a place to plug in my electric helmet visor which already comes with a RCA type cord.
So maybe I should just install a couple of them instead and forget all about the cigarette lighter outlet.

i hate the cigarette adapters - too many bumps and it starts kicken in and out ..
