Diesle quad is coming

I was watching 5th gear last night and the britsh army has diesle quads new this yr.

The quad was upgraded or built by "roush" it sounds like the engine builders for nascar. I most likly spelt the name wrong.

Now when it comes here there will be a whole new torque hp battle.

The tv show said that it was for sale for
$5500 pounds or 13000 cdn dollars.

Polaris has had a diesel Quad out for quite a few years now.. great farm machine!

Same thing with John Deere, it's called the Gator 4x2. Kawasaki or Yanmar diesel, I can't remember who's engine the diesel is. They'll even burn JP5 jet fuel in the military versions.

Gators are in action with the US Army & Air Force in Afganistan & Iraq and across bases in North America.

Lots of torque yah, I wonder how the acceleration will be without a turbo? How would the belt hold up to the torque? Drivetrain? All that with big mud tires, hmmm. I believe this quad your talking about is a Cat, I've seen it online and its been mentioned on here a few times.

I think it would be a fun mudder but I dont know about the wheel spin.

If any one is interested I have a polaris diesel motor for sale, runs great, sounds, shakes and smokes like its supposed to. I belive its about 455cc

I read an article a couple years ago that the U.S. military had diesel dirt bikes. They were dual sport KLR 650's and the motors had been converted somehow to run on diesel because that's what all the other military equipment ran on.

Arctic cat is in full production of there diesel. should be here in january, mmmm i wonder how it will start.

pretty much just parts quad, there are odds and ends, but definatly parts. the motor runs sweet, I'm thinking about putting it in a relic sled just don't know how well it will run (start) in the cold... definatly be the only diesle sled LOL hey bark is that the whole quad or just the motor
