Looks good PC. I'm trying to find a bigger tire to take some power away from this Brute? It rips the Sheeeee-ITE! out of the 28" Zillers! Thought the 29.5 laws would help do that?

Anyway I wish you guys mentioned you were placing an order, I would have ordered a set. I want to get a set with the new chrome HL rims. I know Camo knew I wanted a set? Oh well no biggie? Maybe LE will sell his.

I weighed all the tires on a pretty good digital bathroom scale that has a loadcell in each corner. (wife was impressed, LOL)

Get this,
28/12/12 zillas - 42.8 lbs
29.5/12/12 outlaw - 42.4 lbs
28/10/12 zilla - 35.6 lbs
29.5/10/12 outlaw - 36.8

Looks good procomp!

For everyone else that wants them. They will be available soon I am sure. I am pretty sure Vinnie is going to start carrying them. I did not want to do a big order and take future business away from Vinnie.

So???? Tell us more dude!!! That thing looks sick!!! How do they compare to the Zillas?in the mud?on the trail?

ProComp

Positive -

Well initial impression based on deep water and deep mud is these tires paddle way better then the zilla's. They want to pull the quad forward instead of down. Water wheeling was easier as was pulling the front end up on grass.
Trail - well a quad with this much ground clearance, soft suspension, no sway bar and big tires pretty much sucks with zillas or outlaws but I don't notice much difference between the two.

The downside - they work so well its just a matter of time before somthing breaks. Secondly, now I need a trail quad. Thinking maybe a Brute? :action-smiley-070:

Summary - money very well spent

Ya Outlaws definitely pull harder than Zillas. As for the breaking part, thats why I only put them on the back.

ProComp

I foresee a rear breakage before the front only because the rear is always locked and has more wheel speed especially in 2 wheel drive when your showboating a litte. LOL

Harder on bearings for sure.

If your hard on the throttle u will snap things. What you will notice with the laws compared to other tires is that u DO NOT need the wheel speed to get thru the mudholes like u do with other tires. they clean every well and can simply crawl thru the hole instead of spinning the crap out of the tires. its when u are hard on the throttle that the horsepower is being put to the ground and when u catch a root or rock, snap crackle pop. showboating is fun with the laws, but hard on the wallet when you do. congrats on the new meats ProComp!

Hey Hotwheels, I don't need a second quad for the type of riding that I do.
We did a lot of trail riding today and the laws were great. I just know that due to the size and height of the quad, its gonna be tough on parts.
Is it worth it? O, you bet. These tires are awesome. Anyone want to buy a winch? LOL

Hey, looks awesome!

Did you lose any bottom end torque, or was it not really noticeable by adding the 29.5's to your machine?

I usually add 27 ITP's to my Machines and am kind of reluctant to add 28's or 29's or this reason. Let me know!

I'f you ain't gettin' it wholesale, you ain't gettin' it!!!!!!!!

ProComp

I'm not sure what kind of machine you have as that would help me comment but the only reason mine can turn them is because of the modifications and because it is a manual.
It also depends on what type of 28 or 29. The mudzillas and outlaws are way heavier then a bug or mudlight and yes, take a lot more power to turn them.
Also keep in mind, the taller the quad, the worse the handling.
If were talking mudding I almost think a good tire is worth more then ground clearance so in saying that, if your worried about the power, get a shorter Zilla over an ITP.

Yes, words cannot describe. There that good. Must be great on a lighter quad like the Grizz too.
Aside from the mud, my quad water wheelies 10x better. The guys on Highlifter told me that would be the biggest difference and they were right.
Not to mention how slow you can turn them and crawl through without digging a hole.
The only sad thing is I love getting and trying new tires. Its kind of a fetish and well, I'm done now. Guess I'll have to swap some truck tires around now.

I hear ya on the taller stance and less stable.. Doesn't corner so well on gravel roads anymore. Leans pretty good and doesn't want to hold the corner. But hey they are a mud tire and the best one IMO.

They work great of the Grizz , power steering is awesome even locked it's pretty easy to steer. Could use more power though maybe a clutch kitfor those times you are pulling people out. If you are not hooked to anything then it turns them just fine!
