I am planning my friends stag for August long weekend. What we want to do is rent a cabin on or near a lake where there is good fishing and maybe even some quad trails.there will probably be about 8-10 of us,but we are not a roudy bunch,a couple of us don't even drink.Does anyone have any locations that would be good for us?

well how about a Cabin on ATV trails and a lake nearby??

check out the Wagon Wheel Campground in Woodridge, nice little cabins with 2 queen size beds per cabin for $40/nite, free firewood and all the trails you can ride and then some. Whitemouth lake is not too far either, heck you can ride your ATVs there.

If the Wagon Wheel does not work for you. Give Silver Birch Resort located on Moose Lake a call. The cabins are cheap and they are located on the water. The fishing is better on Lake of the Woods compaired to Moose Lake but you can always get on the water at Moose Lake. The number is the Sprague directory.

Do you know if a guy ride the quad right up to the cabins? I imagine there are some nice trails in that country as well. It's been many years since I've been at the Silver Birch Resort.

Just got off the phone with Silver Birch Resort and there are no quads allowed inside the Moose Lake Provincal Park in the summer time, but in the winter they are allowed. But he was telling me we would just have to trailer them about a mile or so outside the park and we would be good to go.

I haven't explored the trails around Moose Lake but I have been told they are very swampy...but if you take off from the outer gates you can be in woodridge within an hour..ish
