st.malo derby trikefest? may3/05

hey guys i have an idea, may7th is the st.malo derby. wouldn't it be cool if those of us who have trikes dust them off check oil and fill up and ride.i thought that we could start discussing this with good advance in case your trike needs a few bolts turned.i think we might be able to get at least a dozen or so trikes trail bashin that day.what do you think? :rocker: :humbs:

hey no pressure i thought it would be a good thing. this way if a guy has a trike sitting in the corner he can at least put a few miles on it.

i never miss that derby. I don't think I will be doing the suit thing this year. All my regular crew is jamming out so I will hook up with who I see there.

OOPS!! thanks HC. i went on atv manitoba for the dates i guess that was last years or somethin. ask BH if i should change my van to general lee. drivin back from the moose game i was slightly airborn at a bridge on the 201 yeeee haaa!! let's NOT do that again anytime soon . :crazy: :dong:

far out man!!! do you know of any other trike gys that you can invite? i got my bud with a 350x wantin to show, and ther is a guy in st.jean with a few trikes that usually shows at the derbys, i am going to get a hold of him this week and see if he wants to ride with our bunch.so if all goes well we should easily hit a dozen trikes...

I dont know about a trike, but I'm aiming to be back riding IN my atv, not ON it. My brother in law and I are hoping to make it back there on the Honda Odysseys, may even find a 3rd.
So are we sure now, is it the 7th? Great, I can bring my wife home a mud pie for Mother's Day.

From Wpg. I'm usually riding in the Whiteshell or around Belair, but have some family near Piney. We were at the St.Malo derby last year. Nice route. We got good and muddy, but were able to get through anywhere we had to, even with 2wd and exposed belt drives (not great in water). Anyone we talked to said we were the first oddy's they'd ever seen there.

Yeah, rubber boots. LOL! For as often as we got stuck, we could help or tow each other out. If it was really bad we've had generous quaders extract us. We always carry a tow rope 'cause both buggies are 27 years old, so you just plan on riding untill something breaks. At last years rally we did good, just had to hobble back to the parking lot with a tire off the bead.

cool!! hey cosco has 2000 lb winch fer 60 bucks.i bought one nice unit.that would be aces to be able to winch yourself or someone out. anyway.. do you know of any trike owners out there that would join us? and now since you are a trackshare member you don't have to rely on strangers winchin you out....were here. :welcome:

Not enough electricity on the old buggies to power a winch, but it sounds like a good deal though. I'm not sure about any other trikers (sorry for taking your thread off topic - I was just trying to find the derby date). Thanks for the offer-to-tow, hopefully I wont need to use it. The buggies have 2wd in common with the trikes. Sometimes you'll get stuck and are only hung up, and can push it out easier than drive it out.
Looking forward to meeting some more people this time out, we should be pretty easy to spot. I'd like to get to the Piney derby, but dont know if I'll get away two weekends in a row.

st.malo should be a blast and piney as well ....ahhhhhh every ride is a good ride when you ride with good people.

does anyone know if the piney derby has a pit or anywhere like ross does for spending the night? or is piney just a one day give her everything and go home event?

gettin closer!! i guess the familly fun ride will have to wait. sooooo now i'm back in. TRIKES-TRIKES-TRIKES-TRIKES-TRIKES. BRING'EM IF YOU GOT EM.
