I was looking for one for my son and the ratings are very poor as they break down too often.
I will find out where the link is for it and will post it.

It's great to see some tests being done on the mini machines as money can't be the only thing when buying them.

I was looking at the eton viper 90cc it is a little expensive priced basically around the same price range as the polaris and so on.
The machine has had some good reviews and some say built better than the brand name machines.

thanks for the link bronc but that is not the quad that mid town is sellin.the one at mid town is the panterra 90. it has a honda knock off engine in it.i went to look at it last saturday and test drove it. man i tell ya for a 90 it goes pretty good. and the suspension didn't bottom out very much at all when i sat on it. and my boys of 10 years and 8 years can pick it up off the ground lifting at the back and front.the only thing i don'y like about it is that it is not the nicest looking bike but it is tough. it looks like my wifes 91 200trx. oh ya if anyone is thinking of a kazuma think twice about it there is alot of negative talk out there about it.there is also an outfit out of BC that is trying to set up shop here in wpg. they won't sell out here till they have a shop set up for warranty purposes. there web site is www.atvforless.ca the alf 110cc is a good lookin bike and has a good rating.

Here is a link to Rip Cord, a company in Calgary where I got my son's Kasuma Ripper 50. RIP_CORD (http://www.rip-cord.com/)
They are great to deal with. A good bunch of guys.

I bought my son a Kazuma Ripper 50 from Ripcord last fall, as Mudnut has said they are great to deal with! I bought it off of e-bay and had it within 5 days of the auction closing. It was easy to set up and works well it has a throttle set screw to limit the speed and a 4 speed semi auto trans. With all the bad press on these Kazumas this one has been good. I bid on them all summer and they were all going around $1200 to $1700 for the 50 cc model. I just kept bidding $850 till I got one (was $850 + $180 shipping and tax) worked out to app $1200.

I heard all the mini machines are made by one company and then the dealers put their body, fenders, decals, etc on. Don't know if this fact or not.

straight pipe

i don't think that there is just one but i know there are not many, so partially true. kazuma makes engines and there is kimco, and one or two more that i know of.this mini industry is just in the starting stages of what i can see of being massively huge when they set up shop here in wpg, we are going to see them everywhere. with the prices where they are at... why not.

I have had no trouble at all with the Ripper 50. I did go over the entire quad checking fasteners, wireing conections, head bolt torques, spark plug torque, & every other thing I could get my hands on. The only thing I had to adjust was the fuel mixture & idle. I basicly did a PDI on the quad just like I did on my Honda when I bought it.
But the ripper 50 has been a great little quad. My son has well over 100 hours on it now. I have done regular oil changes, lubes, & maintenance on it & been totaly happy with it.
My son loves go in the mud & get the quad & himself totaly covered in mud.
