Any Recommendations On What Would Be A Good Long Lasting Lub For Tent, Blind , Sleeping Bag Zippers?
While I'm sure somebody makes a commercial "zipper lube", all you really need is wax.
Beeswax would probably be the best as it is soft, but regular paraffin or even a crayon (you can even color match here) will work as well.
Simply rub on the zipper and run it up and down a few times.
The wax won't run or stain clothing and is fairly water resistant. (helps to seal the zipper from leaks too)
If cold weather camping use powdered graphite instead.

Graphite spray is what we use for tent zippers for really cold weather.

I use beeswax on my dry suit (scuba) it works great. I would follow Wolfs posted advice.Beeswax is a whole lot cheaper than some commercial spray and more ecco friendly. Not a green nut or anything just very little bit helps. My way of helping to save the planet hahahaahhaha

My zipper on my rain coat was jamming at Kellwood derby so I gave it a shot of muskoil as it was handy. It has been working better than ever the last two derbies.

Hey Dan, where do you get bees wax? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I had some huge clumps of it and I use it on carbide cutting tools when cutting aluminum. Stops it from plugging up but I don`t know where to get more.

Let me see if I've got this right, I take a carpenters pencil & rub it up and down on my zipper? And you're saying I'll giggle? Whats my excuse when some one sees me doing this? Nah, I don't think so, you do it first.
