If you are talking the actual desert or sand dunes, or what is left of them, they are off limits. We ride west of Carberry in the Camp Hughes area all the time, in fact every wednesday evening, there is a rest stop on the north side of #1 hwy where you can park and ride from there. If its sand you are looking to ride in there is plenty around there but no actual huge stretch of all sand dunes.

As said earlier: the actual desert is off-limits. It is split between the Park which doesn't allow riding, and DND who have big guns an' things and the desert is part of the buffer zone for when they are firing.:gun_bandana: Too bad, as I spent many enjoyable years back there and we are missing out on some of the nicest country in the province to ride in.

It's great in the winter on the fire guards for sledding...JUST DON'T GET CAUGHT!!!

As for the rest stop...on the north side about 5 mins west of Carberry, lots of parking and trails to the north and to the south.....just follow the hold highway to the first road south and take it all the way till you hit the tree line.
