You will be charged GST at the border as well as a $182.00 RIV fee. You also have to advise the US border 72 hours in advance what you are intending to export. They run the serial number and check if it has an lien or is stolen. You also need a title with the machine. This is the legal way to do it anyway.
Then you have to take it to Canadian Tire to get inspected, pure BS.

Add in your time to get it, gas and a hotel if needed when figgered out your overall costs.

I agree there is some great deals but it can also add up fast too.

yes that is true.....but there is still some really great deals.......i still saved myself $500.00 plus all the extra accessories i got with the sled......$1500.00 worth...........trust me it was worth the drive..................
