who do you think one??? we raced 4 times both bikes bare stock!!

2002 Grizz 660 and a 2008 motobishi 700

both bike were neck and neck, one time the grizz got a bike ahead , he got a good jump.

As the china bikes lack in some areas... we are doing some clutching to the bike,

Now I know wht bike will be faster!! keep tuned!

Now if a Motobishi can put as many miles on as a Yami without falling apart.......J/kLOL

spec wise the motobishi has a similar engine to the yamaha 700. so im not really surprised. not sure what manufacturer they copied the engine from, but yammi seems to have the one closest to it

You test that thing as hard as we've put to the one's at home, you'll be considering it as your next bike. I've sunken, flipped, tipped and ran into numerous appartly unmovable objects, o ya broke threw the ice, she's left us now and Ashley done just as much already. Took it for a rip again today, still minty.

Vinni's little girl, on the 700, i think she did the last ride with her eyes closed.

so why dont they put a 2008 660 or 700 yami against the motobishi. I dont doubt the motobishi but apples to apples here.

compare apples to apples. You can't compare a 6 year old machine with lots of miles to a new one. LOL Put a 08 700 Motobishi to a 08 700 Grizz, both with the same miles and similar abuse levels. Then you'd have a fair comparision.

Im out in ontario on vacation right now and heading to NFLD in a few days. Next time I am south is marchand derby(i hope) What size tires you wanna race with. only mod is my skid plates and they just add weight. You have a place for a race im game when i get down there. just no highway riding for me. Tickets are too expensive on highways. (been ther done that)

Thats what I frogot to say!!!!

The grizz we raced was a BRAND NEW motor!! we just rebuilt it,

also.. Of corse it won't beat new 700FI!! I am also not trying to say its better that a YAMAHA!! Im just shocked what it can do,

As some of you said.... lets see how it holds up? To date there amazing,

BETTER THAN A YAMAHA?? maybe just as good for a lot less? Time will tell,

Im a YAMAHA die hard!! I have a sled thats over 350HP and is worth over $50,000Gs

I would not build this type of sled if I did not like them!

what I am saying is..... For know it looks like a good bike, Just wait till you see what im doing with my UTV, I will have it custom built for the TORONTO SNOWMOBILE AND ATV SHOW in oct,

I don't think you can compare apples to apples between a new 700 Grizzly and a Motobishi 700. While both are in the same engine and weight class, the Grizzly if fuel injected, while the 2008 Motobishi 700 is still carbureted.

Motobishi, like so many new ATV's from China are still using old technology, which has been tested and true by the original manufacturer. Jianche is another brand that is imported from China. I know they have been associated with Yamaha for many years, and as an owner have found it to be very reliable. Now, I recently purchased (March 08) a new Motobishi 700II. First impressions are very good, lots of features like diff lock and override, aluminium wheels, etc. Only problem I had with it was the fact that it is supposed to be a 2 up. Only problem is that Motobishi shortened the wheel base on the 08 (700 II) model by 4-1/2 inches compared to the 07 (500 2 up), probabley to reduce weight on the front end. They also shortened the seat by 7 inches. This made it nearly impossible for my wife and I to ride double, as I am a big guy. My son has purchased it and so far has not experienced any problems with it.Time will tell, as he is a lot more aggresive rider than I am. As for myself, I ordered a new Motobishi 700 UTV, which finally arrrived yesterday. The dealer has to assemble it and do the PDI on Monday, as the mechanic has the weekend off. I hope to be running it by Monday night.

Like I said, time will tell. I am not a real aggresive rider, (due to a back injury), but I don't baby these machines either. Only time and experience will tell how they will stand up. I believe that with quality controls in place in China, and association with big name manufacturers, they will be good machines. Jianche/Yamaha Corporation is now testing a fuel injection 500 quad that was supposed to be here this year, but I have not heard any more about it. I'm sure Motobishi will be doing the same thing as soon as they get their R & D done.

Rumor has it that even Honda will be built in China in the future due to technology changes and labour rates there. Who knows? I think we just have to give these quads a chance. I seem to remember back in the 50's and early 60's when Honda started exporting to Canada. In the 50's, many said they would never buy that junk, then....well the rest is history.:scooter:

I have uploaded some pictures of both the Jianche 400 and the Motobishi 700II. Posted them to "just to share" yesterday, but I don't think the moderater has posted them yet. Used keywords, "JIANCHE MOTOBISHI".

Hi DUTCH KID'
I know you did not say anything about EFI. That was brought up when someone else suggested comparing an 08 Grizz to an 08 Motobishi. All I was saying is, you cannot really compare stock apples to apples when a new Yamaha is fuel injected and a new Motobishi is carbureted. Don't get me wrong here. I am a supporter of the Motobishi. I own a 2008 700 II and my new 700 UTV just arrived at the dealer Friday. My 700 II has all the power I will ever need. My son is taking the 700 II, and I am getting the side by side so my wife can ride with me.(Motobishi shortend the wheel base and the seat in 2008 compared to the 2007 models, making it uncomfortable for us to ride double on the new 2 up.) I think they are a great machine and we will be seeing lots more on the trails in the future. In our family we have Yamaha's, Honda, Suzuki's, and Jianche's. Any quad that gets you there and back dependably is a good quad.

Changing the subject, great looking sleds you have, and I am looking forward to seeing you 700 and your UTV when you get pics posted.
