Ice on West Hawk?

Anyone know if the ice is off West Hawk Lake? There was still ice on Lake Winnipeg 3 days ago. Thanks in advance....

hey QZ - the bays are all wide open but there's still ice on the main part of the lake... with the temp's we're having today i wouldn't be surprised if it's gone by friday...

I was mostly wondering if I'm going to be able to make it to the cabin without an ice breaker? LOL

I think in the last 40yrs I've only missed May long 3 times because of ice?

well i just talked to someone that lives out there - they've been boating across for a while but they weren't totally sure whether all the islands were accessable yet... i'll keep you posted... you thinking of coming out on friday evening?

i was fishing in lake winnipeg on sunday, theres so much ice its stupid. i couldn't even fish, i tried casting long ways but it was worth less. we always wade out into the current and catch alot of whie bass but this year there is none. i walked out about 50 feet, and put my drink on the ice. :D

Just flew over WH today and still ice on about of 1/3 of the lake. With more wind it should be gone by the weekend.
