will the price of gas affect the prices of atvs. i do not know but i am wondering if they will get cheaper because guys like me live in the middle of kno where. so if you go to pick up a quad, you gotta take the truck. thats atleast a 100 dollar trip for gas if your going to winipeg. i think that the price of gas is f****** retarded because now i have to save up a extra 100 bucks just to pick up a bike.

This sure is a sore spot. Not sure if it will ever change. We are to laid back as canadians. It will drop a bit before the next election and we will all be happy. Will never go back below a dollar again

god damn greedy bastards. I cant understand why the price of gas is so crazy when we harvest a shitload in alberta, alot off the coast of newfoundland and what ever happened to the 'big ass reserve' they found in saskatchewan, I bet it was just a hoax to get people excited to move to sask.

Yup, it's crazy. Got an old winch cable in a mud hole wrapped around my front boot. Squeezed it so hard it cracked and screwed up the bearings and everything else in that area!! $%^#&!!!! The closest CanAm to me is an hour and a half away........ costs $160 to fill my truck and I CAN"T make it there and back on one tank. It's a big job and a little pricey..... and on top of that I need to spend a little under $200 in gas to bring it in?? Screw that!! I'll attempt this one myself!

The price of gas is driven by dought and scared people. The higher the $/barrel goes the higher the TSX profits are. So you can see how some people/comanys don't give a $hit because they are makeing much more then they are spending. Also Canada has few refinerys which puts us over a barrel for priceing of fuel. Then you have the Gov which take aroung 20 cents/L.

Also if the US is willing to pay for it then the oil companies are getting more money if they sell oil on the world market. Why sell it here.

I haul a lot of oil in the patch just around Estevan, Weyburn, Stoughton areas and you would be surprised as to how many companys there are from Alberta. Alberta's economy is going to crap, everyone that I've talked to says that Alberta as a province is borderline bankrupt. Too many companies with billions of dollars spent, that are only making millions in return. Doesn't take a genius to figure out if you spend more then you make you won't go anywhere. Since Alberta's oilfield is going downhill so fast (over the past 5 years) and AB depends so heavily on it, it makes sense that the economy is going downhill too. "Little Newfoundland"AKA Fort McMurray is hurting so badly for guys since they found oil off the coast of Newfoundland that all the newfies are moving back home. I've been there quite a few times over a few years and 50% of all people up there are newfies. Syncrude pays $1000 a day, straight up, for anyone who knows how to run a trackhoe. No jokes, I am good friends with a guy who has a cousin that does it in the oilsands, I wanted to go do it, but since theres a minimum 1 year wait with no guarantee I decided against it. That sounds like good money, but he pays almost $7000 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment, and when it comes down to it, with the cost of everything in AB he doesn't make a whole lot more money then me.

It's simple supply and demand. Oil companies supply at low volume, keeping the demand high. Ever since Old Saddam was captured and hung, all imported oil is at a standstill. He was a murderer, and a tyrant, but he knew how to run that country, and keep all the other murderers and tyrants at bay. Yes it was to his advantage, but he always kept the oil flowing. Now that there is so much anarchy over there, there is almost no oil being imported. Making the price we pay at the pump all that much higher.
