Hey yamaha!!! have you taken apart your clutch on your machine? i got my machine tuned up, and MAN she seems to be running good now... BUT i still can't get any speed out of her... and i hear people say that it is the clutch... take it apart clean it, re-grease it, and you should get your speed back... but i have never done this before.... just wondering if you could give me a hand or something.... and i will supply the BEER! :friday: :beer3: :cheers: Please let me know man!

I have had my clutches apart, it's not that bad of job. Do a search on the highlifter forum. They should have lots of information there. Or try out Texmudders sight, it has a bit of info on it. http://www.ansley.net/service.php

hey nitro...............if you want i can guide you in the clutch.......had my griz apart once a month........nothing to it............just buy the right grease from yamaha for it and we can clean her up for ya.................

Thanks Big Brute, i will pick that stuff up as soon as i can.... My machine just doesn't want to do any more than 73 kmh, thats in completely stock form... i know something is wrong... and i have heard a lot of people say the there clutchs were improperly greased from factory, and when they put the machine under any stress, they lost their top speeds... and to rectify the problem they re-do the clutch....

when do you have your days off? PS we should maybe wait for a little warmer day, since my garage isn't heated.... let me know when you get some time.... i should be able to pick up some grease this week.
