Any tips on installing blinds on the inside of pvc windows? Not sure if there is any backing behind pvc where screws would go in and i am worried screws may be too loose or become loose .

If you can wait until next Teusday, I can tell you difinitively. I just had new windows put in the house and the Hunter Douglas blinds are rather expensive and we are going to get them cut down about a 1/4 inch and I will then reinstall them. The window mfg. salesman is coming over to view my plan and let me know if I can do exactly what you plan on doing. The guys putting the windows in told me it was ok.....however.......I want it from the horses mouth before I tap any holes in a $ 3000.00 window.

I did it that way in the kitchen and we haven't had any problems. The blinds go up and down a couple time a day.

The window dude just left. He recommends that if you are installing screws into the window casings/frames , try to instal them in line with the glass or 180 degrees. If you are installing screws at 90 degrees, just make sure you don't run into any of the window glass.....leave about half an inch between the screw and any glass you might be close to. Other than that...........give 'er !!!
Putting a screw into one or more pockets of the insulating air space in the window casings or frames is no big deal.
He also told me that some folks install the stick on shading materials on the inside of the windows instead of blinds. In the case of a south exposed window, that type of application will most likely void the warrantee because of excessive heat build up.
Take the materials off if you are having your window guy coming out to look at your windows if you have this stuff on them.
I hope this helps answer your questions.
