would anyone know what type of plug to install in a 1972ish 55hp chrysler outboard? i don't even know where to look for an application for that! thanx!

I have the same motor,when I changed the plugs I just used whatever was on the shelf in the shop.NGK I beleive it was.I know thats pretty vague but these motors are not too picky.

right now i have those stupid rimfire type plug and was wondering if it was the right style

The rim fire looks like the right one if it's the Magna ignition, here are the Denso plug specs on them:
