Anyone have or heard how the warn 424 works on a rubicon . Would love to have the option of 2 wheel drive at times.
Is this the kind of bike you have?

WARN 424 IS A KIT YOU CAN PUT ON MANY QUADS WHO DO NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO SWITCH FROM 4 TO 2 WHEEL DRIVE LIKE MY RUBICON

I think I saw one on rockymountainatv.com. I don't know how bad or well they work but if rockymountain sells them, it must be worth it's salt. I believe they even have a in-store garrantie with them?
Mm

We've sold a couple at our shop installed. They go in farely easy. You basicaly take out your oem frt drive shaft and replace the whole thing with the warn ,comes with a strap that bolts to the frame and you just moint the switch. The switch is mechanical spring type so when you pull it,it takes it out of 4x4(it's spring locked) touch the lil red button and pops back into 4x4.the guys that we've done really seem to like it cause it frees up the frt end and lighter on where and tear.

Hey Vinne. How bout the Locker what's the trackshare price going for. I would like to put the locker in and the 424.
OK and one more for you wich is something i would do first is What about the Perfex suspension kit. Have you had any dealing with them yet. I am seriously considering buying that kit instead of the normal lift kit. I don't think the lift is as high but from what i have read the ride is a heck of allot better.

Anyone who has or installed a Warn 424 when you press and release the button to go back INTO 4x4 is it suppose to lock as it does when pulling out to go 4x2? Manual only says it locks in 4x2? Info would be appreciated :beer3:

The 424 does not need to "lock" in the 4x4 position. The spring tension holds it in 4x4. You feel the spring resistance when you pull it into 2 wheel drive & then it locks in to hold it in 2 wheel drive. Push in the release button & the spring returns it to 4x4.
I really like my 424. I bought mine from Vinnie.
Moo-cho cool parts from Vinnie.

Finally have 2 wheel drive and the mod was easy to install. Deciding how to route the control cable was the hardest part. Highly recommend this mod for those who don't have 2 wheel drive as it makes it more fun to ride.. :jack: :beer3: Time to Ride :woohoo:
