Warren dogs need our help!

Hi everyone. This is no joke- this is hard to watch but please look at this like to yesterdays paper. www.winnipegfreepress....0895c.html (http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/story/4190191p-4780895c.html)
It bothered me so much I have to try to do something so I have been on the phone all day using my contacts to try and help these poor puppies. SO FAR... Lukes Town Service was the first ones to step up to help,Then Scott Rods, Grey Hound, East-Man Feeds, Part Source, Boston Pizza, and the list is growing! What my hope is,We can gather everything,Post what we have and have an auction with all the proceeds to go towards helping these puppies and the people who have already taken some in out of there own pocket.Many of the local groomers have gone above and beyond at there own costs.These people deserve what ever relief we can give them like food,supplies toys you name it.
This is my first time doing anything like this so just help with making this all work out would be contributing and what better cause? How to donate yet and how to organize everything is going to take some planning yet so ANY help would really be appreciated. My time is very limited because of my job so please help me run with this ball as it might get heavy! :sweatdrop:

Contact Diamond Edge directly to offer assistance, they are the one's who need it the most as they are paying out of pocket for these animals.
Apparently the support they have received thus far has been outstanding already so maybe find out specifically what they require (other than the obvious- new owners).
I was just at the Humane Society looking for a pup and they have several of the Beagles there, all of which have undergone surgery and will be ready soon for adoption.

Anyone who wants to help out but doesn't know how...
Here are a few ideas, Make some calls to friends and let them know whats going on and ask them to help with donations,food,ect.
If you know of any businesses like where you work.They might be willing to help out in what ever way.No donation is to small and certainly none is to large!
If anyone knows anyone in the food industry ask them if they could send the people at DIAMOND EDGE some lunch.
THEY NEED IT!!!!
The people at DIAMOND EDGE have been working steady with these puppies and not just 9 to 5 either. They are staying late at night and coming in early and all the staff is doing this all for free! DIAMOND EDGE has shut down the business at a loss estimated by the owner KIM to be well into the thousands of dollars! The staff is loosing wages and in fact some of them have taken dogs home at there own expense :no:
So if you want to help look beyond what you can do and help me get others involved. Huge thanks to those who have and are doing what you can but we need LOTS more.So far on my own I have generated just a rough guess about $1000 worth of help imagine what we can do if everyone does just a little?:yes:

Ive informed my employer, Big Freight Systems from Stienbach, on the situation and what people and businesses are doing to help these poor animals out. BFS will be donating some food via Eastman Feeds.

If a few people could take a few minutes to write an email or make a phone call to their employer, like I did, we could do a lot for these neglected dogs.

Id like to thank Big Freight Systems, personaly, for stepping up to the plate and I hope some other local business are willing to do the same.

We are receiving tons of calls today from concerned members of the public. The main question being asked is how can they help, what do we need right now? These are some of the suggestions and what we urgently need and how you can help.
** Canned dog/puppy food
** 6 foot leashes (Nylon only please)
** Moist dog treats
** Durable dog toys like:
* Medium to large rope toys
* Medium to large Kong’s
* Squeaky toys
* Nyla bones
* Kuranda Dog bed (see details on our website regarding this bed)
* All Cash donations - urgently needed to aide in this enormous undertaking
