Hey all. I'm currently in the process of building a 40' X 26' garage with in floor heat. I need a stamped engineer designed set of plans for the "Foundation Only". Anybody interested in doing a cash deal, or know someone that would? Thanks.

I need a set too, 40 x 50 no heated floor slab thickened edge, these should be available over the counter somewhere no?

I think I'll call the cement company I'm going to use....

A condition of my building permit states anything exceeding 900 ft2 has to have a formal Foundation Plan detailing the structual arrangement of choice and be prepared, reviewed and sealed by a Design Professional licensed to practice in the Province of Manitoba. What a crock of $hit. :angry-smiley-005: :angry-smiley-005: :angry-smiley-005:

Thats right my curreentshop is just over 1000sqft and it is an engineered pad. The thing is that every pad over 900 sq ft has to be engineered soI imagine every configuration especially in 2 ft increments has probably already been drawn and stamped so maybe there is somewhere that just sells plans stamped that they have already years ago engineered. Nothing special, just don't know who sells them.

Does that make any sence?...LOL

I'm sure if your called someone like Kowalchuk (sp?) Engineering they have something already done up that they can quickly mod with your square footage.
I highly doubt you'd find anything pre-stamped. But there are probably still some "rent a stamp" engineers out there...

I don't think you can buy them over the counter......every slab will be different depending on the type of structure going on it, soil samples for the area you' re building on and so on. Some areas will require piles, some only thickened edge, it all depends. I talked to one of our engineers here and he said he would be interested to do it on the side depending on your schedule. pm me for more details and I can give you his name and number

I can draw up your plans & have an engineer look it over as well... there is a fee for the drawing work & the engineering fee is quite low as well when compared to other engineers... pm me if you're interested & I can get you some prices.

I really appreciate the replys and offers. However, my contractor has found a local guy for me and is in the process of having it done right away. Thanks again.
