I need some install advice.
I had a 9242 (for those in the know, you know how valuable these were) and it started having issues about 2 weeks agoa nd now it wotn stop re booting. I am going to pull the cover off and take a look (not knowing waht Im looking for but they say it can get dirty in there so going to clean it out.)
I was hopeing it was an overheating issue but I unplugged it overnight and just got home from work and plugged it in and it still wont boot up, so think she is dead.

Here is my question, I guess I am now going to have to get 2 recievers for the 2 tvs that used to be serviced by my 9242. Obviously all existing cabling is existing, so do I need anything else to get this up and running? Just plug them in and set them up with Bell? Can the dish on top still be used? It has of course the dual LNB's needed for the 9242.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. If it is more advanced than the above scenario, does anyone know a TS member that does installs? or non TS member that is good?

Thanks guys.

Last fall I moved into my current place, which had a group of a few evergreens. one was completely dead. last week i took it down, and noticed 2/3 of the way up there was a foot long section of it with a bunch of what I assumed to be woodpecker holes. I also have another evergreen in the back yard that doesn't look too healthy - I took a closer look at it yesterday, and there are some old holes, and some fresh holes (bleeding sap)

I assume this is actually sapsucker damage. (not that i neccesarily care what variant of bird it is) What are my options for preventing further damage, as well as preventing damage on other trees? And for saving the tree?

I haven't noticed this on any trees other than the evergreens. I hear that jackass in the bush a few times a week, hammering away at something.

Condolences to the family.

Parents, put helmets on your kids, even if you sound like a nag, or don't believe in it yourself. Put one on, Monkey see, Monkey do. I rode a few times without, and Crashed with one on. I'm convinced now!

Almost lost my son last fall due to him being so smart, he didnt need a helmet either (he knows everything). I always ride with one. He lived to realize helmets do help. We were lucky the Dr's were saying.

Not preaching, just asking!
