Rim Turning inside Tire
Anyone ever have this happen. Any thoughts how to stop it from happening.
Tires are 29.5 x 12 outlaws on SS212 Wheels. Usually run about 5 -10 psi. Can't even barley drive in 2x4 anymore rims are slipping so bad. thanks

Dismount and clean/rough up rims and beads, remount and air up to high pressure for a day or two to firmly seat. After that doesn't work you will need to screw the beads. Had a set of street slicks that I aired down, put some ballast in the trunk for a best of three tie breaker... smoked the tires, but on the beads... I lost, lol.

What kind of cement are you talking? The stuff you would use when applying a patch?

Tire shops have a bead sealant that they can use for tricky beads. I apply it to all my tires when I change them or have them off. Makes a huge difference!!

The shop I had install the tires originally used some black bead grease. I think that is what originally got things slipping. I have since cleaned the beads and put them on dry, but it seems to be getting worse. They are wide 29.5 on 12" rims. Have not had the skinny fronts slip yet but the front never see's the kinda torque the rear does. Fist time I had it happen I though I had a blown CV joint.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Original Outlaws MAX 5psi?? Says on the tire, Mine are usually between 1.5PSI and 4.5PSI, depending on the ride conditions....

I use to run a open wheel mod and glued the tires on with high tack.

For anyone having this issue I was able to resolve it by installing the offending 29.5's on the factory beadlock wheels that came with my renegade x xc. Works great, no more issues.
