1983 Honda 185 atc idle problems

I just bought the bike for a yard bike and it hadn't been running in a year so I took it home and it would not start so I clean the carb top to bottom and now it starts but idles very high and I messed with the idle screws and still cannot get it to idle good, just wants to rev up. dose any one know what this could be? Or know what the factory settings are for the carb? Thanks.

In the 3 wheeler section there is a link to download a manual...

is the slide installed properly? I have seen where if you put it in backwards it will only go half way down and will just race and race

Make sure the slide is in correct, if that doesent fix it check the o rings between the head and intake and intake and carb also check the intake for cracks sound like you have a vacume leak

The air idle screw that faces down should be 1 and 1/2 turn out from all the way in. (or 2 turns Max) And there is a idle speed screw on the side of the carb (usually flat screw). If that's not it, it's the O-ring between the intake boot and the block or a loose carb cap, or cap seal is missing or torn. Does it rev Extreme? Or just a little too fast? (I've seen my share of carb slides installed 1/2 turn the wrong way, they rev like crazy!

Alright I checked the whole carb over and the boot going to the head everything looked fine and i did what three wheeler said and set the air idle screws still revs high, so I got a 200s carb and put it on after I blew out the jets since the carb had sat for awhile and still idles high what the heck? Not sure whats going on.

Then the boot has to be no good or isnt sealing properly causing air leak.

I seen on the Internet that the needle can wear out but what are the chances of that happening with both my carbs? Maybe it is the boot
