Our new camper

We pick this up tomorrow. 2011 Flagstaff Ultralite 27 foot bunk house with one slide out. Got a great deal at GNR Camping World. Going camping near Gimli with it tomorrow, can't wait.

Yeah, my in-laws purchased their camper there 5 or 6 years ago. So while the kids are away camping with the in-laws, this past Saturday we decided to go looking for something newer.

I was a little leery at first because some of the things I had heard through friends of friends (you all know how that is), but we had a very pleasant experience. When we first talked to a salesman, he listened to what we wanted and even though he gave us some great feedback it wasn't his turn for a customer, he passed all the information we gave to him to the salesman whose turn it was.

Our new saleman (Ole) took us around to show us several bunkhouse models from the various manufactures. He didn't pressure us at all and answered all our questions very honestly. After showing us around, we sat down with him and he explained the process and gave us some tentative numbers. We were not ready to pull the trigger that day and left feeling a little overwhelmed by what we had seen.

We talked it over a little on Saturday night and determined which one of the campers we were most interested in. On Monday we went back and got the deal we wanted so we signed on the dotted line.

Our financing experiance was also great through them, we sat down with the business manager and she walked us through it discussed our options, offering us the extended warrenty, protection package etc.. She didn't presssure us like they do at some car dealerships, it was totally up to us. We decided to take the warrenty so now we have complete bumper to bumper warrenty for 7 years.

By this time it is now about 8pm and they were closing. We were finished by then so I asked about how long before we found out about our loan application. She said that she was going to be there till about 9-9:30 and that we would hear back from the bank that evening.

We went and picked up some supper and went home. Sure enough by 9:15 we had heard back from her and we now owned our new camper.

Yesterday we went and signed the papers and picked up our registration so we could go get it insured.

Today we go pick up the camper after lunch, we are getting a walk through with one of their RV techs, he is going to show us how to use everything and answer all our questions, should take about an hour or so.

After that we are going to bring it home and load it up, hopefully we will be at our campsite we have booked at Spruce Sands up near Gimli by 6, with cold wobbly pops in hand.

This thing is going to be awsome!! Can't wait to get it out.
