Question Camping/fishing spots in northern Manitoba??

Just wondering if anyone knows of any good places to go camping or rent a nice cabin to go fishing in northern mb? I would either take my little boat or even rent a bigger one,not a fly in that's to expensive.

Lot's of places, I'd look at the Bakers Narrows to Reed Lake areas. Great fishing and some nice campgrounds. Lot's of places up here for great camping and fishing.

I can also vouch for the Moak Lodge listed above. I have stayed there several times. When the fish are biting you'll catch some nice fish, when the fish are shut off it's dead. Nice enough accomodations, but not a lot else around there other than fishing if you're taking the family up.

FISHERMAN is on a distinguished road
there is a small lake up north that wopuld be perfect for your small boat, you would have to tent it. perfect lake to take the young ones, you will catch lotsa of fish. You bring me a case of refreshments and I will let you in on the secret.

yeah, cedar lake isn't a small boat lake, if its calm than its good but nothing smaller than 18' is recommended, they do rent out boats there, $100/day plus fuel at cook's, and the river in G.R. is a different kind of fishing all together, friend of mine said last saturday they caught 197 fish in 4 hours and most were right around 22" and some bigger

That's crazy amount of fish I was checking into some of those mentioned and I like Wekusko falls lodge and the one by the narrows just waiting for them to call back. Fishermans keeping his place a secret have put a tracking device on their boat lmao.

I've been to Wukusko Ricky. Very nice spot. Your little boat would work in the bay where the river comes in. You'ld die if you hit the big lake.

Don't overlook Clearwater Lake ( I think you can rent a boat at Carpenters if they are still open ) and try for some Lake Trout.........then mosey on up to Cormorant. Should be some real good fishing up that a way !!

Good luck

Carpenters Clearwater lodge is open, as well as Evergreen Resort. Clearwater offers great Lake Trout fishing as well as big Pike across the lake. Cormorant has hit and miss walleye fishing, but when the bites on can be very good. Just before dark is best. Also if you head up the Moose Lake road you can hit Bradley for great Bass fishing however you can't keep any. The Saskatchewan river flowing through The Pas offers great walleye fishing as well, however it's usually getting pretty slow this time of year.

Honestly I think the fishing is better in the Bakers Narrows, Iskwasum, Reed Lake areas, but fishing around The Pas is no slouch either.

I was "pimpin" The Pas because thats my old stomping grounds, but almost anywhere up there in those nice deep cold lakes fishing will be just great !!

Been trying to get a hold of Wekusko falls lodge never no answer?? Bart u think it's worth taking my little boat all the way there or better of renting one. Don't mind staying in the bay if it's good fishing.

Just came back from a trip up north. Stayed at Evergreen. Great spot and Ken and Fay will treat you well. Went out to the deep hole and as always we did well on the lake trout.
After that we went up the Sheridan road and got into some good walleye fishing. Can't wait to do it again.

That woul be 1st on my list to get your fill of lake trout at Clearwater and Cormorant for pikrel. Yes Carpenters lodge is a great place to stay. Boating in Clearwater when its calm is awsome, you can see the bottom of the lake. I would troll for lakers and see them bump my lure 10 feet down and then fish on as they rip off 20 feet of line. Best tasting fish out a there too!

Just got off Clearwater about 4 hours ago. Trout are biting like CRAZY!!! White tube jigs tipped with a minnow in about 65 feet of water, and look out. Nothing big, but lot's of fun.
