Dirt Trax Magazine set the stage for the long-awaited grudge match between the Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000 and the Polaris RzR XP 900. The Dirt Trax crew challenged themselves to dig deep as they developed their opinions and impressions to answer the raging question: Who has the best Pure-Sport ROV?
After pitting the two against each other and evaluating all aspects of the machines, the conclusion was no surprise; the Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000 was given the nod in this comparison. Turbo Testing Results!!!

Tried the new clutch but got lazy and change the secondary spring and had the same torsion as stock but stiffer.
Hitting the rev limiter off the line. Set spring to A1 and now it's near perfect. We need a slightly different helix to make it perfect.
There is still a small hesitation of the line which I think is caused by the wet clutch but it's cut in half now.
It is much stronger now that I need to go in 4wd mode to get a better holeshot...too much spinning right now.

It lays down rubber on the asphalt pretty good, very hard acceleration out of the hole. We'll show data once we don't hit the rev limiter at 60 mph but it's a beast in the trail, drifts in 4wd much easier, near instant power out of a curve and from a roll.
Much better "backshifting" ... I'm impressed for a small investment like this.
Lots of clutch testing/riding has been happening since the last post here.
The TD turbo Wildcat has been used in some 300+ UTV/ATV ride and been ran on a Dirt Bike course by customers.

Moto JMF has worked on a clutching setup based on stock machined parts keeping the stock wet clutch.
top speed is up to 88mph now and can be reached with half throttle on the Turbo Wildcat.
Next is higher rev limiter, we'll be looking at 94mph then with 8000rpm rev limit.
Acceleration is very good.

We have a Speedwerx WCD on hand waiting to be installed. Once the stock clutching is done with we'll slap that on and report the difference.
Of course it will need a tuning change on the primary to support the extra power of the turbo kit.
