need help on 2006 outlander 800 right rear axle

blew the cv on my right rear axle (rim side of axle) and cant figure out how to take my axle out. The axle itself still looks perfectly fine I think I will just need a cv and a bearing. If anyone has instructions on how to remove axle and replace the cv and bearing , also how to clamp rubber boot back on that would help alot !! thanks

Pull your wheel and hub off, unbolt bottom bolt on both shocks, drop swing arms so you can pull axle out of swing arm, then you can either grab the axle push in and give a solid pull out if that doesn't work wrap a 1 inch strap around the axle hub at diff then tie it to a sledge hammer and give it a few good pulls and it should come out....

Message off road traction and buy a after market Rhino Axle cheaper than stock and seem pretty decent....

Good Luck!!!!!

Shane

The outside cv can not be taken off like the inner cv, you need to buy the whole shaft assembly so a rhino might be cheaper and way easier to do and has a factory seal

tha dude will become famous soon enough
its cheaper to buy the complete rhino axle than the BRP cv joint...

to do the clamp its easiest to have the pliers from BRP, but in a pinch adjustable pliers can work but its a *****...
