Prowler HDX

I am looking for some reviews from owners of the Prowler HDX....

Is the 700 under powered?

Hows is it on fuel?

Any common problems with the unit?

What is the top speed?

Thanks, Shane

DON'T DO IT. 700 is a piston blender, dad's has very little miles but shakes like a blender and throttle cut in is like an on\off switch. Top ends don't last.

Well we have one so we can take the kid with us to. Good on fuel, I am running 30" tires on mine and still get 44 mph out of it with the 700. I will say the one and only problem we had with it was the top end. Had the piston break with about 550 miles on the bike so had to rebuild the top end, other then that solid bike. My Buddy had a 2010 Ranger 800 and it seemed like after 2000 miles or so he could use it without something breaking and he hit the warranty cap so everything was coming out of his own pocket... That is the only thing that has me worried about the Ranger. Another buddy with one had his fuel pump go and warranty wouldn't cover it so that was 400 out of his own pocket...

one of those things I guess. I put over 2300 miles on my 2011 Ranger and replaced 1 axle. I feel for your buddy...when you say he hit the warranty cap, must be extended warranty you are talking about.

hey for what its worth i think the 800 mid size would do you good shane, its smaller than buzzo's or lee's but still has room for the family, and anything you want to haul, its quicker more nimble, and fits in the box of a truck,
