07 Grizzly clutch noise after servicing
Primary was removed and serviced. Now has a clunking noise at idle, but if rpm's increase- noise goes away. I havn't had a chance to look at yet. Anyone else come across this?

Was just the primary removed or did you dig into the wet clutch at all? The reason I ask is because the primary shouldn't be rotating at an idle so maybe their is something else wrong.

Did you put grizzly grease in the rollers? Do not operate without grease unless you have the greaseless kit!

Pulled cover- cage and primary. Started and let idle. Shaft is bent. Not sure how the guy did that!! Needs shaft and probably the one way bearing.

The shaft will bend from running without cage. Call bullock small engine repair in swan river. Im sure he can straighten the shaft. He straightened my brother in laws crankshaft on his f7.
Or just make the guy replace.

If it cant be straightened, and you have it all apart anyways, its probably about 200 bucks for a new drum and shaft. compare cost of machine shop vs new part. might still cost you money either way (unless you can get some reimbursement from previous seller)
I was thinking a roller fell out of position. If shaft was bent I dont know how it didnt take bearing out for cage support?

Is it 90 grams total or per roller?

I think you found the problem. I personally think the grease is a bad idea. Just collects dirt. Arctic cat/ Suzuki rollers can be modified to fit grizzly and turn it into a dry system. Local dealer did that to their Yami rental quads and clutch issues dropped dramatically they said.

straight out of the 660 service manual; "Apply Yamaha Grizzly grease (90 grams) to the hole outer surface of the weight and install" Seems like a lot? 90g x 8 = 720g plus per lube job. that's more than the tub of grease (453g) yamaha sold me saying it would do the clutch 3 to 4 times. still haven't tried that much grease in it. anybody got some input on this one?
