Been on the road for 2 weeks now.
This first set of pics are from Mount Evans in the Rocky Mountains just outside of Denver. It is the longest continuous road at the highest altitude in the United States. 14,130 ft above sea level.....not easy to breath up there !!!

This second set of pics is from San Fransisco.
Hung out around Fisherman's Wharf for awhile and then took the audio tour at Alcatraz.....absolutely awesome........best tour I've ever been on. We went through the cell blocks, library, "The Yard", the dining hall, etc,......just spectacular. The prison opened in 1933 and closed in 1963 and prior to that it was a fort guarding the entrance to San Fransisco Bay and an army prison housing Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. Amazing history including a 19 month occupation by American Indians in 1969. It is now a State Park. Great views of downtown San Fransisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. I would recommend the Alcatraz tour by Alcatraz Cruise Lines to anyone who might be in the area.

That particular tour is very well presented at a reasonable price. Its one of the best tours I have been on.......very interactive.........lots to look at and at a nice easy pace. Thanks for posting !!

This fella is part fish, makes sense since his big sister is a mermaid. He came out of the water chilled but couldn't get too far from it. Picture was at about 8:30 pm and that is normally bed-time, I think he slept well that night.
