There is nothing wrong with your brute. Just set the toe to zero. You low speed shake is just the larger BIAS tires, my GATORS are the same. As for tough steering, all the 05`s are like that. The newer ones have different front end geometry to steer easier. Your describing the nature of that BEAST! Now just keep on the gas or buy some wider RENTHALS to give you more leverage. Buddies 05 was way tougher to steer than my 09.

So after 2 years of not finding out why I had a steering problem I've got it all figured out, and its very stupid and embarrassing, apparently there was a rock stuck on the diff control lever causing it to be locked in posi, the lever right at the front diff.......
lol I can finally go for a good ride its only been 2 years lol |

For a test, turn on the driveway with gravel or such and turn. Note the wheel scrub on the inside of the turn. Jack up the front end turn one wheel and take note what is happening on the other side of the machine. Have someone even hold one of the wheels and you spin the other, should not turn wile you are spinning yours. If they are locked together and diff lock is not on you have differential issues. This would make for hard steering. |
