Going to duluth and I have never beeen there. Wondering if there is anything I should visit while we are there from sights to restauraunts. Will be there for 4 days

The area is pretty cool. Lots of neat little places/towns in the neighborhood. Beautiful country too.

They recently had a large flood in town. Check with the local chamber of commerce before going to see whether tourist attractions are open/ damaged. The next town called Superior has a large anciant mansion to visit originally owned & build by a wealthy businessman involved in shipping on the Great Lakes. Very interesting. One of the largest Antique Malls I have ever seen is in the area as well if that interests you. Beautiful park & boardwalk on the shore in Duluth.

Was there in the middle of July for our first time. You want to check out Canal Park. It's a better version of the forks. There is a lake walk with sculptures and gardens. It was too hot (over 40C with humidity) so we didn't get to that. There are shops and restaurants, an aquarium. An old brick tower to climb in Enger Park which we didn't get to, due to rain that day.

We rode an old train (north shore I believe), but we weren't overly impressed. Could have been the heat, but it didn't travel along much of the lake. Mostly just seen trees and houses. There is also another train, but they were closed down at the time as well as the alpine slide at Lutsen mountain.

We did the zipline at Spirit mountain. It was a very short run on a double seat. For younger kids or less adventurous types it would be OK. It was $12 for two so don't expect too much. There was another ride there, but my daughter wasn't interested. The view of the city from there is amazing.

There is a zoo, an aquarium, Splitrock Lighthouse all of which we never had time for. Oh and Fitger's Brewery Museum was on our list, but our daughter of course had no interest, lol. http://www.fitgers.com/subpage.php?page=History

Take a twilight cruise. Coming back you get to see the city and lift bridge all lit up. They have a bar on board as well. http://vistafleet.com/

Here are some pics. You cross the blue bridge to get to Vista Fleet. If you're staying right in Canal Park it is within walking distance.
