Staying in the zoo can be quite the party, as long as you don't mind drinking, caroussing, and lots of smoke! Bring plenty of water to aleviate hang-overs in the morning, and you will have a blast. Don't forget to say hi to Freelance, He will be around someplace with his BIG camera.

Its not that bad they police it very well and do not let things get out of hand, you can party and have fun but if you go to far you get to see the inside of the jail that sits at the entrance of the track, and freelance is not there this weekend he is at another race. They have bands everynight at the stage area and a parade on Saturday night nothing looks cooler than a bathtub with a small block chev in it cruising around lol.

Well some of like all those things, but as long as no one gets hurt. Just dont dig any holes.....lmao or at least get caught. Freelance is always there, as long as it's an NHRA national event. Never seen a bathtud with a small block there though, but all kinds of other kewl shit, although most of that stuff is banned at national events now I believe. Lat time I was there was camped by the boys from the Boss hog dealership in Mini... You wouldn't believe how many bikini clad girls he managed to get on his bike and drive it around to boot! W

Ya lots of bikinis and /or lack of bikini tops thats all good with me, they do have a really interesting amount of cool vehicles cruising around and how some of the camp sites are decorated is really cool, on Saturday night the drivers judge the spots and award prizes.

One camp site had a complete. well anbout 4 livingrooms worth of furniture. Saturday night around midnight the whole works went up in flames. Good bonfire to say the least. Oh ya, they had a 3 ton truck with a van body full of stereo equipment to keep the tunes going. And if you want a really good bonfire, they brought in a couple of pulp pulp trailers and make a couple of piles of wood, 5 gallons of diesel and instant mega bonfire.

I went for seven years straight in the 90's.

I could try to describe top fuel to you, but you have to experience it for yourself. It's going to blow your mind!

Big Al......your gonna have a blast. All classes are there this weekend including sleds racing on the track. It's the only race on the tour where sleds race at up to 150 MPH.

Yes, the zoo has tamed a bit over the years but it is still one huge party !! My favorite race of the NHRA season.

Unfortunately I will miss this year as I am working the Nascar Nationwide race in Montreal at the Circuit de Gilles Villenueve. Been here since Monday. Today I had a Mini Cooper from another class catch fire and ping pong off the wall in front of me in turn 5 where my camera is located. We have Grand Am Rolex, Nascar Canadian Tire Series and Nationwide all racing on Saturday. Can't wait !!!

NHRA cars blow up.........I mean really explode........Nascar just crashes.........both are awesome but you will surely be impressed with 8000 hp doing 1000ft in under 4 seconds at over 300 miles /hr.

Just don't blink or you will miss it !!! LOL !!

Enjoy !!!

I should also say that when the cars are done running for the day there are plenty of lakes and boat rentals to be had !!! If you get a chance check out Gull Lake and Zorba's for pizza !!!

All work and no play just wouldn't make it worth it !! LOL !!!

I would not exactly say they keep the zoo under control, last time I was there, some guys burnt the cops golf cart! All that was left in the morning was the seat which was tossed at our camp site, preignition to the torching! Guess who they thought was the culprit, you bet, you rs truely! Lol play safe!
