Yep. Expensive in Canada.
I may have to get an extra can. Wind picked up a bit and got one side a little dusty. So now there's little bumps all over it :/ One side looks good and smooth and the other looks bumpy hahhaa. Oh well

Thanks.
After talking to a few guys on another forum that have used the stuff they say after about 24 hours the "blotchy" unevenness goes away and it looks one uniform color. So hopefully that's true haha

My grill surround and mirror covers look a little blotchy at first. Looked way better the day after.

I actually had some bump on mine and I was pissed when it happened. After it cured they went totally flat and no bumps at all. |

Going to the states shortly... Do they carry colors like red, yellow, white???
Thinking of doing my tunnel on my sled. Inside and out... ? - will it hold up inside of a tunnel & how durable is it. Ie. boot rubs and minus temperatures. |

Not sure about how well it would hold up on a tunnel. I'm sure with enough coats it would do ok.
I only saw black at menards.

The first link shows some of the colors. Second link is a list of U.S. places to buy it.
As for the sled tunnel I am wondering if it would help to use the primer they suggest. http://www.awarehousefull.com/plasti...eatured&page=2 http://www.plastidip.com/diy_where_to_buy.php

When I did my test area on the tunnel I did not put a primer, just cleaned it with soapy water and dried it completely. At 2 coats for the test area it did not rub off but I had to start ina corner and peel it off. I dont think adherance is an issue, but in wear spots it may be over time. ( ie boots rubbing on footwells, the grippy parts I could see wearing off,and the side of the tunnel on the inside of each boot) In rear of the seat with tunnel bags it will be even more protected and covered. As long as nothing is sliding around on it it will be fine in my opinion. |
