You can find numerous videos using go pro's on this site, plus on Go pro's site. You would be amazed at how often go pro's are used for tv comercials, even feature length movies for certain shots. Video quality is excellent, plus a very wide field of veiw. The hero 2 is the way to go IMHO although I am definatly not a camera expert, especialy video. Only issue I have with them is the controls can be a bit quirky, but you learn to live with them.
for 300 bucks for the 3 different packages you can't go wrong. Even at the 349 the retailers in this city have them for, still a good buy if you want a dependable camera that can take the beating many of her put them thru.

The go pro hero 2 is a fantastic camera. I use mine for riding, biking, my daughter uses it at the pool and going down water slides. Stay away from the contour as it seems dark if you don't have great light.

I have a Conture and yes it is a lil dark at times but otherwise a very good unit , lots of people on here use the Go Pro and it seems to shoot very nice video . it is a solid unit and will work good for any thing you want to use it for.

I have the first generation GoPro Hero Motorsports Package. I've taken my camera to hell and back on my ATV........through mud, swamp, snow etc. It's operated at +30 and at -30C.
Almost run over by bbrent LOL !!! I've had it fully submerged in water without the waterproof back and it just keeps on producing quality HD video. I have front and rear mounts on the bike and I don't know of any other camera that could possibly stand up to the abuse this one gets. I also have front and rear mounts on my boat and can't wait to use it this winter on my new sled !!

Hope you have a decent computer cuz the HD video is difficult to edit on a sh**y computer because the resolution is so high. My computer sucks so I convert to avi. files to edit.

Absolutely excellent camera......very user friendly once you get used to it. We also use this camera professionally on alot of the shows I work on. Can't go wrong with a GoPro !!

Check out my youtube channel..........all on the GoPro Hero Motorsport cam.

Great cameras, excellent video and very durable. That said I did loose mine once when the latch popped open when I was sledding (actually it's in the cedar bog somewhere if someone happens to find it lol).
I emailed gopro and they gave me a deal on another one which I thought was nice of them.

I now zip tie the case closed so it won't pop open again.

I lost one also when I clipped a branch at hells gate. Good idea on the zip tie.

Mine popped off the rear mount and just missed getting run over by 2 quads behind me. Picked it up and just kept rolling. It's in the Winter Quad Ride Seine River Jan 28/12 video.

That was a fun day of drifting......I believe you are in that video JP !! LOL !!!

i have a couple of them as well...

i run one on the front of my kids 170 pointing back at them from the hood... the other i run on my sxs pointing forward.. they are awesome little cameras with enough options to make some interesting vids and still pics are good too even with the "fishbowl" effect..

I'll probably be getting a hero 2 soon.
I currently have a contour GPS model and I love it. It's not the greatest in low light but pretty darn good.

Love the GPS feature on my contour as well.

But the hero 2 has a few features I want so I guess I'll have two cameras! I'll always stick to the contour as a helmet cam due to its smaller size. Looks goofy when riders that have boxes sticking off their helmet lmao.

Lmao I was right on top of it, was even facing up so when Andy said "go forward"you could see his face come into view as I rolled over it. Classic case of how durable they are, and I didn't even see it rolling along the ground when it came off Freelances machine because i was 2nd behind at probably 60k. Forgot to say, someone I know told me his kids throw thier go pro down water slides and laugh at the video.

Have never used go pro's web site to order stuff from. GPS city is Calgary has the same pricing, and I got my motorsports edition on back order in 3 days for 299 from them. Was going to try getting the wi fi kit from the go pro website, (not available in Canada yet ) but no cash available at the time.

Bought a Hero 2 for my son's for grad, its a fantastic little camera. We use it on the quads and the boat we've even mounted on his wake board helmet. The videos we get are crystal clear. We bought a floaty for the camera just in case it comes off its mount when he's wake boarding this will let it float so you can retreive it.
