Ya I saw those picture on Facebook as well. So far it does not look all that great but I will wait until they actually release it before I pass judgment on it.

Rumor floating around that it is 101hp with a 5spd semi auto paddle shift trans similar to the spyder. Sounds interesting.

sound very intersting, but i dont see a semi auto trans. Nobody wants to shift anymore, not cars or trucks or toys

If in fact it is similar to the spyder it apparently downshifts automatically

can am is a good machine, they need to do something with there diffs though. cant stand they dont have a lock option. i was looking at a renegade but the diff is the deal breaker. for a side by side my first choice would be rzr. there the first in the game and have improved so much while others gotta play catch up. imo

I can't understand why anyone would think the Can Ams don't have a great, if not the best front diff. The front does lock, and does so automatically. The best part is the locking mechanism is a viscous coupling which has proven to be simple, strong and reliable.
I love the fact is doesn't need any electrical or mechanical mechanism to act on it to lock and unlock. I guess if your used to having a lever or button to actuate something inside the diff then that's what your comfortable with, but I think it is overly complex, unecessary, and inconvenient.

It boils down to the type of riding you do. For racing and heavy throttle mud riding the visco lock is the best. For slow technical riding over logs, rocks, ruts, off camber, etc its really bad. Even the new one with power steering is way to slow to react for my style of riding. Of course you can learn and adapt to how the visco lock engages and keep in mind its weekness and learn how to avoid it. It can be a system that works really well for alot of people but not all.

What I want to know is who is putting all these logs in your guys trails that you are needing to ride over! LOL

In a whole season of riding I think I might have to ride over one. And even then I think I would pick it up and move it just so the next guy didn't have to deal with it.

I think we all occasionally need to crawl over obstacles, but I really don't honestly see anyone with Can Ams having a major problem. I think if you know how to exploit a specific negative caracteristic of the Can Am diff you can create a scenario where it is going to give trouble and make it look bad if you want it to look bad. If you don't you drive it differently.

These trails with rock and logs arent your average trails. these are usually unexplored trails that require lots of technical riding where the true diff lock comes into play.
