My wife is on Rogers still, mainly because they give her a decent deal for being a long time customer. I am trying to convince her to get one. Considering she doesn't even have a data plan, it doesn't seem likely. :P

Speed-wise at least, it is pointless to get a GSIII for the LTE speed capability since neither carrier supports LTE here. Still the phone itself is freaking slick.

Amen. I find nothing interesting about the iPhone. The way everyone has praised them up in the last few years made me wonder if they are something higher end than the regular phone. Boy was I mistaken.

I love the iPhone and am a apple fan but I have no intention of going to the 5. I am running the 4, I sold my 4s as it didn't do anything better than my 4 and Siri was pissing me off.
I'll wait till the 6 comes out. My ios6 on this phone if fine for my use.

I read that YouTube and Google Maps don't come pre-installed on the phone 5/os 6. Read that you can still install YouTube from the app store while rumor has it Google is working on (or is waiting approval for) an os 6 compatible version of Google Maps.

I am wondering if these apps get removed on upgrade, because if so I think I will wait to upgrade my daughter's pod.

Lost the YouTube app on the phone and the iPad. I just went to YouTube and added the icon to the home screen.

As for the maps. They have changed but I haven't plàyed with them enough to give an opinion

MTS will be releasing the LTE first this time, While they let Rogers release 3G first last time. Some time this next year i thought i was told.

The new maps does suck.
For one, you lose streetview.
Secondly, half the stuff I search for it drops the pin way off the actual location.

Looking online there are even lakes missing in some places.

I really don't like ios6 so ill be downgrading back to 5.1.1 and jail breaking.

Switching to an android phone when the new nexus device is released.

what is with this IOS5 or IOS6?? Of course, i had the big notification to upgrade, which i did this morning, but i don't find much for changes.....do they really need to do these upgrades?? It's a 4S i've had for a few months...very gay.lol

When i did the "upgrade" from IOS5 to IOS6 the other day, i noticed now that when i go into my music, everything is complete black and white....no more color, like even the borders going around the songs, and playlists, etc. Does anyone else have this?

yeah not sure why they did that. got the same thing.

Some features of iOS6 are nice but I really think they went overboard, they could have made a 5.1.2 and only changed a handful of things

Our whole company received iPhones for our work and half of them want to go back to their old phones. To me that says something about the hype everyone raved about for the past few years. I'm not even close to a techie when it comes to phones, and I see so many things they're missing out on with this iPhone. Think it's just a fad to say u have one. Not really much to the phone at all.
