There are 2 kits out there that are popular at least that I can see for the Brutes. Dyno Ray and DSC(Dirty South Customs), they both supply outstanding standard bore kits from what I understand.
Offroad Traction is dealing with a company that doesn't do Brutes but they do Teryx engines. Far as I can tell there is no difference on the engine basics, their guy hasn't done a Standard bore kit he does 840 and says they are very reliable in the Teryx's he has done. He can put together a standard bore kit if interested. A few guys on here have the Dyno Ray kits but your best to talk with Adventure Power Products, they sell his kits and they will hook you up with whatever you need. KawiBrute750 just ordered an 840 kit from DSC, not sure where he is at with it but you can pm him for more info. Good luck with your choice!

I posted on this thread a couple of times already.
I've got a Muzzy's 840 kit. After going through this process, I've got a new perspective. I wouldn't recommend the Muzzy's kit. It runs okay.... NOW. But it was a long road. Once I had everything together, I drove for about 50 miles, and blew a head gasket. I took it back to TAK, payed another couple of grand, and blew the head gasket in another 20 miles. Muzzy's was no help at all. I got more help from Dasa Racing, (even tough I didn't buy their kit). The Customer service was not what I expected from a large vendor like them. ![]() At the end of the day, I got a triple layer gasket, and over torqued the head bolts. I ended up just doing it my self. TAK was just too expensive, and they didn't seem to know any more about the problem than I did. I've now got a couple hundred miles on it. Way more Power, lots more torque, and I can only assume a sizable increase in Horse Power, (according to my Butt Dyno). ![]() So, if you buy a Muzzy's, drop me a line, I have some suggestions and experiences that I can share. If you are trying to decide between a standard bore kit or a BB kit, go with the standard, cheaper, and likely all you need. One more thing about a BB kit - you need to invest in extra cooling. She runs a little hotter. If you get any mud or debris in your rad, it will not keep up. My two cents.
